Joo Chiat Cat Hotel
Our friends at Mutts ‘n Mittens are expanding! We’ve been helping them to find a new location, including completing a feasibility for a former human hostel in Jalan Besar. The ideal property has now been secured - the upper floors of a shophouse on buzzing Joo Chiat Road. Design of the accommodations for both short and long term boarders is now underway.
We’re delighted to be working with Mutts & Mittens again. Sam and his team have collaborated with Studio NvS on many animal welfare-related projects, capitalising on our unique experience in veterinary and zoo facilities and our social responsibility focus.
Our past designs have included a pet resort, a pet memorial hall, the relocation of the shelter to the NParks ‘Animal Lodge’, and a proposal for a pet pool in East Coast Park. Barkway Pet Health, in Macpherson, is known to many in the animal welfare community as a vet clinic offering subsidised services to pet rescuers and community carers.
